OCT 1: Tell the South Korean Government the G20 is NO excuse for Repression!

To the Honourable Ambassador of the Republic of Korea,

Our alliance is made up of thousands of conscientious residents of the United States and Puerto Rico,
with international relationships throughout Canada, Latin America, Asia and Africa.

We are writing to urge that the South Korean government uphold the human rights of your residents and of all those who will be exercising their democratic rights to protest the 5th G20 Summit, which will be held in Seoul, South Korea from November 11 to 12.

Bus Riders Union Hunger Fast for Justice - Stop Los Angeles MTA's Racist Fare Increase

May 20th 2010 – The Bus Riders Union has initiated a Hunger Fast for Justice to demand that members of the Los Angeles MTA board stop their proposed 2010 racist fare hike and save the 380,000 hours of bus service that are currently on the block to be chopped! The BRU Fasters will occupy the Historic Placita Olvera, Zocalo as they set out on this Fast for Justice. The fasters need your support; leave them a solidarity message!

As you all know, a strategy session for our working group was held at POWER in SF this past weekend (April 2-4). this was a follow-up on the discussions we began during the Miami GGJ Membership Assembly.
