The Progressive Technology Project (PTP) works nationally, primarily with progressive base-building organizations made up of low-income, people of color, immigrant, and other marginalized communities working to build power in order to improve conditions for themselves. We exist to help these groups achieve their goals more effectively and efficiently, so they more often win the changes that will transform the communities they serve. We help groups strengthen their capacity — infrastructure, skills, understanding, and practice — to integrate proven technologies into the daily life of their organizations.
We know that technology can be the ultimate force-multiplier. Groups that have the technologies they need, an understanding of how to use them well, and develop appropriate skill sets are able to do far more with far less resources. We help groups utilize the power and efficiencies of technology to both streamline and amplify their work.
