National planners of the US Social Forum will be hosting informational call-in sessions every Tuesday in English) and Thursday in spanish for the month of March On Wednesday, March 24 we are adding another call in English. (number and schedule below)
The one-hour phone sessions will be an opportunity for anyone to ask questions and hear about the goals and history of the Social Forum, details about what will be happening in Detroit this summer, logistics on how to get involved, and how to use the Forum as an opportunity for local and regional movement-building.

The Forum builds off the decade old process of the World Social Forum. With the intentional work of being by grassroots, low-income, people of color, young people, and LGBTQI communities, the forum is built by the grassroots for the grassroots to ensure that those affected by issues are at the center of movement responses and actions. It is a movement-building process that opens space for convergence, strategy exchange, and expanding our visions under the banner Another World is Possible. Another US is Necessary. A New Detroit is Underway.

El comité de planeación nacional del Foro Social Estadounidense tendrá sesiones informativas por teléfono cada jueves en español en el mes de marzo (el número de teléfono esta abajo).
Las sesiones telefónicas de una hora serán la oportunidad para que cualquiera haga preguntas y escuche las metas e historia del Foro Social, los detalles de lo que pasará en Detroit este verano, logística sobre como involucrarse, y como usar el Foro como una oportunidad para construir movimientos locales y regionales.

El Foro nace de una década de procesos del Foro Social Mundial. Con el trabajo intencional de comunidades de base, de bajos recursos, de color, jovenes, y LGBTQI, el foro se construye por las bases para las bases para asegurar que l@s afectados por los problemas estén al centro el las respuestas y acciones del movimiento. Es un proceso de construir movimientos que abre el espacio para la convergencia, intercambio de estrategias y para expandir nuestras visiones bajo el lema de Otro Mundo es Posible. Otro E.U. es Necesario. Un Nuevo Detroit esta en Camino.
