JOIN US ON THE ROAD TO DETROIT!

GGJ has been a lead organization in the US Social Forum process since the planning for the first US Social Forum in Atlanta in 2007.  Drawing on lessons from the World Social Forum process, GGJ has helped shape the USSF as a critical space for internationalist movement-building in the United States.

We need your help to make sure this year's social forum is even more successful than the first.  This year, the USSF is going to be particularly crucial -- it will be a year and a half since the economic bubble burst and the global crisis began; it will be a year and half since Obama got elected and the visible resurgence of the right-wing. The USSF is an opportunity for movement forces to come together to assess the impact of all these transitions, and to unite under key principles of diversity, inclusion, democracy, and plurality because now more than ever another US is necessary to make another world possible.

DONATE TODAY!

As GGJ we have a goal of reaching $2,000 in donations from member groups.

Please donate what you can on the USSF site at the link above, and drop an email to michael@ggjalliance.org to let us know how much you were able to give.

The US Social Forum is one of the most powerful vehicles for movement-building we have in the US for now. There is no other space that actually pushes people into interaction with such a broad and diverse grouping of organizations and movement sectors.  We thank you in advance for helping us make this possible!
