Young Women United
Young Women United is a community organizing project by and for young women of color in New Mexico. We believe in the rights of all people to access the information, education, and resources needed to make real decisions about their bodies and lives. We work with women and families to identify issues impacting their lives and collectively organize and build policy efforts for change.
YWU organizes with our members, leaders, and activists to defend reproductive rights and build reproductive justice, improve the access young people have to quality health care, build educational equality for pregnant and parenting teens, improve access to prenatal care and treatment for substance-using pregnant women, improve women of color’s access to a wide range of birth options while promoting birth and parenting justice.
