“The struggle for the well-being and future of our local communities is also linked to a global scale of grassroots organizing and alignment in all places, particularly in frontline battlegrounds where the stakes are the highest. We are taking action to address the root causes of climate change and economic and environmental injustice by challenging the current dominant economic system that fails to sustain and regenerate life because it is built on flawed foundations including: The endless industrial extraction and pollution of natural systems and functions; the privatization, commodification and legalized enslavement of nature — Mother Earth and Father Sky — that puts a price on air, water and nature that only increases inequality, creates violations of human rights and rights of Indigenous Peoples; and expedites the destruction of ecosystems. Global wellbeing means reclaiming our power, our future and uniting in common struggle. “
